Leptospirosis is a worldwide zoonosis caused by pathogenic spirochetes with various clinical manifestations. Both central and peripheral nervous system may rarely (10-15% of the patients) be involved, especially in young adults. We present a 69 year-old woman who was diagnosed with leptospirosis and during her hospitalization she developed severe paraparesis with urinary/bowel dysfunction due to thoracic epidural hematoma.
